Default Walbro users electrical question?

I am about to install my new walbro fuel pump. I have searched and read numerous faq's and install threads, and other various walbro topics. The kit has crimp-style electrical connectors, and something about those connections floating around in gasoline is making me feel uneasy. Do they need to be wrapped in shrink or something? I have also read that gasoline is not a conductor so even a little exposed wire is harmless. I am thinking if this is all the kit comes with it should be fine and there should be no worry of starting a fire with these wires. Any input on this would be appreciated thanks.
