so my cars been making aloud noise coming from the engine, today i looked at the oil pump and it doesnt seem to be working... what happen is i was driving my car got on it a little (vtec kicked) then next thing in know feels like it looses a little power, 2 seconds later it starts making a loud knocking noise.. i was wondering if its making the noise because of oil pump or did my rod bearings already slip or something??? im confused..

how did u inspect your oil pump?

and also is your oil pan crushed at all?

 

bearings...you shouldn't have to inspect the oil pump on a honda. they just don't fail that much. you need to rebuild or get a low mileage motor

 

awesome so does honda warranty their oil pumps the whole motor only has 3000 miles.. you can check it out out the link in my sig..
