I see many people boosting motors with that many miles on it. Do a compression test and a leakdown test, that will give you a better idea of the motors health.

I threw on a skunk2 IM, ctr intake cam, skunk2 cam gears, a new header, test pipe, exhaust, different intakes......all around 150+k. I currently have 188k on my motor and its still running like a champ. I was planning on rebuilding it, but I already started building a seperate motor.

whats up with the rebuilt engine?...(sorry noob here)

so is it changing ALL the internals?....like the crank, rods, pistons, vavletrain,?...is it cheaper rebuilding the engine from the ground up?..or just buy a new motor?

Like nors said, do a compression and leakdown test. Then you'll know the answer.

I have over 200k on the clock and am spraying a dry 75 shot. Have a motor lined up, already. I should push it to see how long it will last
