axel back exhaust

A cat back starts at the catalytic converter, and exits the car in the rear. An axle back starts at the back end of the car, farther down the exhaust stream.
Benefits
Catback: Larger piping through more of the exhaust stream, more sound/noise, and 90% of the time the piping on a cat back will have mandrel bends which mean more flow. Generally more expensive
Axle-back: Less pipe, easier to install, cheaper, NEAR OEM sound.

Depends on what you are trying to accomplish. If all you want is the looks, along with a little sound, then yeah, it will suit your tastes just fine.
If you plan on making an all motor or turb'd car, then you might as well wait and save your money for later on down the road.
