i am jumping a connector behind the drivers side of the center console with a yellow head and black wire with silver dots and white wire with a dark stipe...is this it? also my srs light blinks when i turn it to the on position. thanks


I'm trying to jump the service connector to pull a check engine light... am i doing it right? i put a paperclip bent in half into the connectors and turn the key til the dash is lit...and i get the check engine bulb to light along with everything else but then it goes away with the others... i thought maybe it was a code 1 because i had a feeling it was my o2 sensor. but it was like a short blink, maybe it was but maybe i am doing it wrong and its starting normally. thanks

if your check engine light goes off then there is nothing wrong with your car. does the light give a quick blink every few seconds? or does it just blink once and then go off for good?

also, when you jump the connectors, sometimes the paperclip doesn't get a good connection so you might have to jiggle it until you find the sweet spot that makes the connection.

 

okay i'll try again tomorrow to jiggle the paperclip around. i thought if the check engine stays on you have no problems? i went by the article on superhonda.com

thats the service connector in last post above your, and it is usually on the passenger side along the bottom of the center console where a piece of carpet pops off. why are you trying to jump your service connector? timing?

 

nevermind i got it, no codes it just stays on...why is my car messed up and it wont tell me why damn...j/k
