Default is it safe to run with no front mount on swap?

i had my setup for a while n my 91 hatch. ls turbo. it has alot of torque. i had a makeshift front motor mount setup to help a lil but i broke it at the track. now im left with the 2 sides and the rear mount only.. i def notice the motor moves a lil more without the front mount i had but is it safe to only use 3? i just dont wanna end up ripping the motor out of the car on a real hard launch..

i've never ran with just those 3 mounts (but i plan to for a lil bit, due to the aftermarket crossmember) i would think you could drive w/3 mounts but i wouldnt race or anything...the motor will probly shift pretty good, and you will loose traction and get wheel hop

with some strong, stiff mounts you really dont need that mount on the trans.

You can run it, over time and abuse, the rear motor mount with rip the rear sub frame, no word of a lie. You will have to weld/replace it.

Get a supportive cross member for the engine if you want to make your life easy.

I ran with out the front one, and broke the back one and had to drive 20 miles with just the 2 side mounts which was horrible. Its only a matter of time before that back one goes.

And the person who said you can run without the rear tranny mount dosent know wtf hes talking about.

Uhmm..if you read the OP he's talkin about runnin w/out the front trans mount. Which should be fine as long as he's running some stouter mounts.
