I say test drive that bad boy and try and imagine driving it everyday. it is a beefy truck.
I really like the look/funtionality of the ridgeline. But correct me if i'm wrong, I think the Ridgeline is the only/one of the few trucks out there that are unibody.
I dont necessariliy think that is a bad thing, but trucks are usually have a chassis and body.
I've always wanted an 80's Toyota pickup, or early 90s too. Toyota trucks are badass. Altho Honda's first US production truck came out and kicked *** and got praised by car mags, so thats always a good indication that its a quality truck. This probably didn't help you at all.

And the fact that it can tow as much as a base F-150? Not to mention the ride and handling are light years above "traditional" trucks? It is definitely a truck but a lot of people are scared of something that is different. Even if it is BETTER.

Incorrect statement. I own a Ridgeline and it's not a front wheel drive truck. VTM-4 is all the time, meaning 4 wheel motion all the time.
This truck does what it needs to do. It's not the fastest, strongest truck out there. But that was never Honda's intent. The goal was to make a decent truck, and that's what they did.

Its the first unibody truck ever ---- it tows 5000lbs and handles very well ---- smooth ride with great steering feel and plenty of ground clearance
When the V8 models come out they will stir up the market for sure
If your looking for a truck I can get you one for practically invoice so let me know --- the base model RT invoice is like 25,500 so add 10% for fees and your looking at 28K or so out the door

Yeah electronically, but from what i read the front wheels drive the truck until the ecu detects slipping and then the back wheel kick in.

It is FWD for most of the time and 4WD when you need it. You can lock it in 4WD up to 18mph to get yourself unstuck should the situation arise.
FWIW, it's unibody and has a fully boxed frame that it does NOT share with the Pilot. Not trying to start a pissing match here, but there's been some incorrect information posted and I want to clear it up.
To the OP, I've had mine since March and I love it. I paid just over $30k for mine (and have read about people who paid a few hundred less) so you should be able to get a great deal if you don't want NAV, etc.

I agree that there are too many people posting BS info about the Ridgeline that they really know nothing about.
The bottom line is Honda is redefining the truck and all of these honcho macho wannabes get their feelings hurt when it wins a competition or gets truck of the year over the Dodge Ram 2500.
Just face it, the Americans have not had to do anything decent with the truck because there has been no real competition. There have been no real innovations or serious improvements and a beating from the Japs is what is needed to stir things up and get some real improvements made.
Honda, Toyota, and Nissan beating up on the big three in the truck segment is what it's going to take for consumers to get a better product.

Invoice on an RTL w/o NAV is 29926 plus fees = 33K or so out the door
Just because you magically post a $4000 loser deal doesnt mean it exisits, you can try to post it but I will laugh,
Check the invoices on KBB.com if you think my price is "horrible" because your ill informed and looking for super loser deal
You probably had a trade they stole from you that you forgot to mention

I love my Ridgeline, Yeah its FWD but has 4WD when needed. Its by far the most comfortable truck on the market. Love the independent suspension. I love the trunk, I haul around alot of telephone/network tools/testers which cost $$$$ and I dont have to worry about leaving them in the back cuz they are in the trunk locked up. It gets pretty good gas mileage, I average 18 1/2-19 on city, and 20-22 on highway. It was about what I was expecting, and matches what the sticker says well.
My friend bought a dodge 1500 w/ the 5.7L hemi, it says 14-19mpg, which and it seems to average about 14-15.. with todays day and age with gas prices, even 4mpg more is a great savings.
Ive raced my friends dodge 1500, and the ridgeline seems to be infact a little faster then it (not much). It does lack a little low-end torque that would be nice to have, but the transmission is does a great job controling power up hills and such.
Btw, the transmission is amazing, you can barely even tell it shifts.
In my opinion, if you use a truck occasionally to haul some stuff, the ridgeline is tops. If you plan to beat up a truck every day hauling rocks and towing tractors, get a Domestic (they are cheaper).
I am soo glad I bought this over the F150 I was looking at, the ride is amazing, and it has features that rival some really nice luxury sedans. The Nav is awesome.
Only time will tell if it grows its acceptance, but I think honda did a great job. They were not out to be "the best" truck, but to offer there loyal customers the option of having a honda quality truck. I think they also stir'ed the industry that you are going to see the almost bankrupt domestic giants look at the ridgeline and go "hmmm"
I cant wait to see what honda does in the future with the ridgeline, turbo diesel? Hybrid? Variable Displacement vtec V8 *droool*?
Go drive one, thats the best way to find out if you like it or not.

Amen dude
I think for 99% of Honda owners the Ridgeline fits perfectly in their life style --- hauling Jet Skis, dirt bikes, ATV's etc...
Rides/handles like a car, hauls 5000lbs and feels like a Honda --- doesnt get better than that as far as trucks go

i want something decent to drive in the winter, and maybe something to haul my civic to the track with... that would be the most i would use it for...
Movin parts, motors, ETC..

i work at honda here in madison....and i must say that i am in love with ridgelines..
If i could afford one i would!
We install alot of neat accesories on them like fender flare/wide body kits ect..(i mean its not a HUGE difference from stock, but it's noticable)
Great vehicle. Havent had any problems. Not many recalls or anything.
The only problem ive heard of is:
If you are hauling a big load in the rear, and you get a flat tire, your kinda **** outta luck because the spare is located under the big load your hauling.
Kinda a shitty location for the spare but i love that little compartment
