Fix or Buy a Used Tranny?

Fix or Buy a Used Tranny?
this is my dilemma, some people said that is much better repair or fix the defective tranny, 'cause is your tranny and you know whats is the problem, however if I buy a used tranny I risk that "NEW" tranny have the same problem that I have on my car.
