You think they would let you know this is going to happen. I have alredy notch the cylinders.
This really sucks because i just installed all 4 pistons, torqued down the girdle and everything. I was just spending the crank to make sure everything cleared.

old thread but none the less still important. i just came across the same problem. looks like if you have the older style 7/16" ARP 1.5 2000 bolt heads and 3/8" threads, then yes you need to notch the girdle. however, if you have the 3/8" head and 5/16" threads then you do not need to notch the block. hope this clears things up!

this is on a d series right? most d series blocks will more than likely have to be notched when using h beam rods....

ill try to get a video I took up of my clearance.
I have arp 2000 eagle 1.5 bolts on my eagle rods. with a 7/16 star socket for the head. and they cleared my girdle. in initial mock up. but a couple people told me to notch the girdle, as did the spec sheet. I am trying to find a picture of what one looks like. all I found was this from d16z6Tcrx sales thread:

but it doesn't look like it was done to every rod… only one? is the clearance issue on the outside where you have it touching, or on the inside where d16z6Tcrx has it ground away?
