Default Changed valve cover gaskets and spark plugs = blue smoke out exhaust?

What gives? All I did was change the valve cover gasket, upper sparkplug gaskets and sparkplugs.. put it all back together, blue smoke out the back and pretty bad.. I did have quite a bit of oil in the sparkplug chambers.. would this be the reason? Is the engine having to blow it out the exhaust now?

I don't see how a sparkplug change would cause a ring to blow.. pssh..

Edit: Also changed PCV valve..

Oil get on the electro part of the plug maybe? Since I wasn't able to clean out all of the oil in the chamber, I suppose the firing end could have gotten a little oil on them.. I hope that it clears up.. it's pretty bad.

yes pil more then likely dripped down, just drive it around and it should quit once the oil is all burned up
