what are you asking here? is she trying to decide between the regular RSX and the RSX-S, or between the RSX-S and the ITR?

I have driven both RSX-S and ITR. RSX-S is smoother, engine is way quieter with a less crazy VTEC crossover, kind of like an S2K. RSX-S is nicer on the inside too. ALthough she probably doesn't need all the extra hp from the Type-S. You'll still have more fun driving your R.

 

best advice is run to your nearest dealer and drive both

 

IMO itr is a much better car , the only thing is the attention that gets (good ) sometimes and also bad

 

WSell i have an ITR ... i was wondering about the Type S and what reason i can tell her to get that instead of the regular RSX and i was wondering what the difference from an R to a Type S was..... and also vids so i can show her AHaha she has a 3.2 TL rite now..

I'm still pretty confused on what your question is. You want to know whether or not to tell your mom to get an RSX Type-S or an RSX. You have an ITR and you want to know how it compares? Seems like a semi irrelevant question. I mean if you have an ITR and you can test drive the others...just comapre and get whatever she likes best.

 

Can you mom drive a 6-speed tranny (or manual tranny)? If so, get the RSX-S.

If she doesn't know how, base RSX is the only model with automatic.

 

Did your mommy buy you that ITR too?If so, do us all a favor and sell it to someone intelligent enough to appreciate it.

I bought my Type R because the VTEC was louder than the RSX Type S!

RSX-S is more comfortable than the Type R.

Not as loud and better seats.

Type R handles better.

For my mom, I recommended a Civic EX. The styling is much better IMO. Does she really need a lot of horsepower, or quality? The EX suits the styling much better. Honda should have dropped the Si engine in the updated Civic bodies not the hideous new SI Hatch shell.

 

tell your mom to get the ITR, then get the JDM Front and let you roll it......

 

here is my 2 cents ... if she can drive manual, TypeS ... it's loaded with features ... and only a lil bit more $$ than the base (if it was fully loaded with features as well) ... the Type S also has a sub woofer where the spare tire is, and a six speed tranny ... and the rims are allows (base is an option) ... it's better engine, and very fast ... but those who say it's faster than ITR, i would say the ITR driver is must be crappy driver for the Type S to be faster than ITR ... but it is close!! ... so in other words, if she can drive manual, get the Type S.\

Acura gave me a RSX loaner car, and basically it sucked dick.
If you're looking for a plush girls car, its nice.
But it had 0 power. Couldn't hear or feel the ivtec.
AND I almost wrecked the POS around a S turn. Rear end just broke lose. I wasn't even going that fast.
