EP3 si and rsx-s
wats the diff in motors even tho i kno one has 160hp and the other has 200hp but just wanna kno the main diff and if u put dc5-r **** in an ep3 will u hear vtec and will it be lik an rsx-s

No, you cannot easily turn the K20A3 into a K20A2 or K20Z1.
That's why the swaps are so popular. It's the easiest way to get lots of horsepower and stay NA.
The stock USDM K20A3 motor in the EP3 Si responds <u>very</u> well to mild turbocharging, and that might also be something you'd want to look into.

but if u take a close look at both motors there the same...but the ep has 9:8.1 comp the type-s has 11:0.0 comp. the type-s has fully better internals in the headthen the ep.but the blocks are the same,same crank,stroke ect... im not a turbo guy but i got all dc5-R parts and i dont wanna put them in and be disapointed... i got the intake mani,pistons,dc race headers,type-r cams skunk2 camgears,skunk 2 exhaust,nx nitrous,type-s trany,type-r lsd and type-r final drive.... now im savin up for the k-pro.....and i was also wonder if i can make the k-pro redline a lil higher then 7,500rpm....im a lil most use to 8,500 to 9,300 ????????? please i really need help

im not saying that im saying if i throw all DC5-R stuff on the ep3 motor will it b the same as an rsx??? cuz i have the pistons,manifold,cams,intake,and dc race header ???? now willthe motor b the same as a rsx or faster ????

it'll still be slow even after you find a way to put all the stuff and not blow your A3... you still need an engine management and find the right person to tune it even after all that...

Upgrade your valve springs and you can bounce off 9k all day long. The s2000 valve springs fit in the K20 and are only around $60 for a full set online. Beats $1200 from Toda. With your setup you listed, an 8600 redline will work fine. Just be sure to tune.
Now that's a nice list of mods, but on a a3 your looking at getting maybe 210hp at that point, toss in KPro you can squeeze out some more. The spray will help the most, but is pretty useless imho. It's false hope, run out of spray and you're done for the night.
