Default Yellow Civic What colour Scheme shoud I have?

Hi i currently bought a yellow civic hatch 92 model with a red honda badge. Some of the interior parts are currently red painted by the previous owner. I was wondering you you guys can visualize the car colour and tell me ur opinion of whether i should:

A) continue with the red/ yellow theme and paint the outside mould and mirros red

OR

B) strip the red off and debadge the red one and buy a silver one spray it black and go for a yellow and black theme?

Another thing is do people ussually respray bonnet for a different colour or just go to wreckers for a new coloured bonnet?

some advice would be appreciated

Well I'll get to you before you get flamed to hell and back, haha. Even though its your car, most people will agree that painting interiors/mirrors/moulding to create a theme tends to look tacky. I would honestly try to restore the interior to the factory color and get another factory silver badge. And as for hoods, I assume you're talking about when it looks "black". That is carbon fiber. People swap to these hoods for "weight reduction" but its mainly cosmetic. It doesn't shave enough weight to really consider it weight reduction when a smaller battery would probably shed just as much weight, haha. They do look nice though. Any other question please ask. And if you have a camera put up a picture of this thing. I'd like to see it.

Ohhhh carbon fiber eh... Yer i'm poor and don't really have cash to do that yet... This is acutally my first car so i was only doing spraying to touch up the mirrors which have some white bits scrapped off... with the interior... i read the FAQ and some guy soaked his thing in brake fluid to take off the paint... anyone got any other readily availble solvents which will get the red off my interior...I'm goin to pick up the car on monday so i'll try and post some pictures... of the damage the previous owner has done

To anyone else reading...

At least you've come to right place. I'm afraid I can't help you with the paint removing. If you go into the Appearance/Cosmetic forum, they might be able to help you out. Also, its a great place to look at cars similar to your and get lots of inspiration. I know its helped me out alot. Good luck and keep us posted

Honestly, it would turn out clean if you ditched the red in favor of black. By chance, did you buy this car off ebay and did it come from missouri?

ditch the red, if you have black interior, duplicolor sells some flat black interior and vinyl paint at any parts store. get some, paint over that fugly red, and get your interior back to a clean stock look
