I couldn't have found a better car to own in my opion, sure i wish it had more power, but i can sacrifice power for outstanding fuel milage for now, i love getting into and driving it every time i do.

As for power, it depends on where you come from. The Fit is nice, good gas mileage, but is very underpowered. But, you get what you pay for. As for comfort, and extras, the Fit is very well worth its price. I do want to drop a K series into mine, but that is going to be after the warrenty is up. I do wish there was a bit more top end, the car is strongest in mid area, but not a real slouch. I got a Fit Sport, but I came from a CRX with a B16A1. So, I knotice a power difference, but I also knotice allot of other things, like stock rear squat, and super soft clutch, which are on my list of upgrades first, after tint of course.

I actually thought the Fit was more comfortable than the Civic. I was looking at a Civic LX, but once I sat in a Fit, I was sold. Very comfortable, and good possibilities.

If you go for a 10 minute test drive you'll answer your own questions. The impression you gain there pretty much sums up the car. It's nothing spectacular but you get a lot for your money (meaning good gas mileage and utility but no power).

I wouldn't drop it. My front air dam is already scraped up just from turning into everyday driveways.

It is called upgrading the clutch. I wouldn't ask too many questions like these, as people here tend to get upset with people new to cars in general. Do allot of reading before you start asking on simple things like wanting to know what to do for a soft clutch.

Also, the answer to that is buying a newer, more race clutch, and installing it into the car.

IMHO the sport is a better overall value, you get the security system, the alloy wheels, the foglights, the better looks, the option for paddles if you go automatic.. I really enjoy my fit and aside from not having a locking gas cap stock I feel they pretty much thought of everything that you do need and threw in a few things that make it a nice car to own and drive.

The Fit Sport's paddle shifter are the best I have EVER driven.
I used to have an RX8. Its paddles suck compared to the fit.

Why would you want to replace the clutch? It works perfectly fine and has a good feel. A light clutch is better for traffic driving.

Also I personally dont feel the Fit is underpowered. I think it is just adequate. More is always better, but I rarely find myself driving it thinking its "not enough".
