ive spent bout 12000 in both of my crxs, but money isnt as much as the time put into the cars IMO

 

^ he is rite any money into a car usuall isnt an investment al though i have been good at investing with car so far. but so far i got a total of 250 bux into my current crx. but it is a shell

 

$9440.76 so far. (Well f*ck me....) Body work coming this winter so it will be well over $10k.

 

im at 6000 and another 3 in parts in the basement

 

I don't know, call me paranoid, but this just sounds like a bad thread. Not to say anything about the original poster, but what if a thief (and there are thiefs on these forums) sees this thread and finds important information like this. Seems crazy to me.

I'm in about (traded my 240SX that I was selling for $2500 and spent $250 on new wheels) $2750 but I'm almost done. Just need to pick up a new front end and get it painted .

im at about $600 on parts for a crx that i dont own yet...

that's just for brand new moldings, and a brand new EDM 16i-16v spoiler...

ya....did not even know that honda parts and aftermarket parts are so expensive, especially for quality stuff. Spent 5k and got more improvements to do.

 

All you need is a plate and someone who can trace it.

Obviously you have no idea how much things cost. Maybe if everything you buy is used and never new you could save money. Everything adds up from brakes to tires to every single mod.

I cannot disclose how much I spent at the bodyshop because I am sure it is not fair to them to have costumers coming back quoting things I have had them do. But I can say what I have paid is really nothing and I wasnt even counting that into the figure in this thread

 

I've got well over 13k into my 1 EF, if you count the blown up engines, and dont subtract what i've gotten from selling stuff off it.

 

3400.00 all inclusive,

and mint.

For a daily.

 

alot of $$ and a whole lot of time...the time being more important than the $$ IMO.

Building a car isn't an "investment" unless you are building them cheaply with the intent to flip and sell it for profit quickly. Other than that it is just an exxpensive labor of love for most.
