Default cleaning engine bay

whats the best way to make your engine bay all nice and shiny?

cover distibutor, intake and fuse box then use simple green full strength right from the bottle. let sit for a lil bit, dont let it dry on the engine tho and this should be dont on a cool-cold engine! if there is stubborn dirt/grease use and toothbrush to work it loose.

They also make some kind of dressing for the engine to make all the black hoses, rubber stuff, etc... all shiny and perty, but Eagle One Tire wet does the same effect and lasts longer. Give it a few good sprays to lightly cover the whole bay of the engine and just let it sit for a few mins.

Just make sure that the tire shine product u use isnt flammable and u dont soak ur distributor etc. Ive actually seen an engine (a brand new engine) get lit on fire because the stuff we use is flammable and u have to be careful when dressing an engine. Look for "C49" if u can find it. Makes Simple Green look like just water, and its very safe. We use it at Honda.
