steep driveway and big sway bars..
Ok guys heres my situation. I just moved to a house with a pretty steep driveway and the only way to get up and down it without scraping badly is sideways, one wheel at a time. I have heard doing that is bad for the subframe on cars with bigger sway bars. I drive a em1 with 22mm sway bar and the ASR brace. My question is would the ASR brace be strong enough to withstand all that stress of going up and down the driveway? Should i take it off or leave it? i really dont want to park my car outside, please help!
This is the very reason why you purchased the ASR reinforcment kit in the first place. I have not heard of single failure with this kit yet, and only 1 or two failures with the comptech kit. Just make some quick sub-frame inspections every time you do an oil-change & call it a day...
Well, going up the curb into the driveway you can end up on three wheels. To do that in racing, you have to take a hard turn with a thick rear sway and a weak front sway or some other misguided setup.
I should take a pic of my car on three wheels parked in my grammas driveway. It's freaky *** ****.
thick swaybar = not a truely independent suspension

To prevent subframe damage/tearout.
