So I picked up my first STD !!
Well, I traded my 240SX (stock fastback) for my very first Honda. It's a 91 Civic STD
!!! At first I was weary of the trade because the EF's appearance and performance. Sure, the 240SX wasn't fast (in fact, it doesn't even run yet, as it is undergoing the stock KA24E swap) but as I stare more and more at the EF, the more I begin to admire it's shape.
I'm basically just poking my head into the forums (been lurking around) and just saying "hi" to all you fellow EF/CRX owners. Here are some pics btw.



Btw, there is a Gather's cassette deck in the car now
and I realize that the bezel around the cluster is white (friend picked up the car like that)..

. It has 205k miles on it, but that's just the beginning (I hope). First thing I'm doing is switching to an SI cluster, primering the car and possibly painting it white (ghetto style) and than throwing on some old-school rims off of a BMW or something
(the car is already lowered on generic coilovers). I'm looking to invest no more than $200 on the car.

Currently has full SI interior except for the stupid cluster. However, there are some misc bolts missing in the car that I'll need to purchase at Home Depot or something. The exterior is waiting for a new front end, where the whole car will be primered and then most likely "ghetto-painted"... Most of you may think that I got ripped but the 240 was in the same condition xP. It needs a new front end, and has to have the new motor dropped in it. The interior is also dirty and needs a color change

Thank you god, I'm not the only one who caught that.
Ironicly, I drive an EF and want a 240. Not to replace the EF, no, she has too much charm. But man, some RWD would be nice once in a while. Mabey a Miata if they were cheaper...

Always glad to see someone get their first STD.I remember when i got mine,i ended up giving it to my friend.After i got rid of it it came back again,but i finally got rid of it for good.

Thought that I would bring some interest to the title.
. Anywho, the car is sitting in my garage now awaiting a new front end and an SI cluster. Seriously, the one in there now is an eye sore, and I'm going to at least repaint it back to black before I throw it away so the garbage man doesn't get pink eye or something

I'm planning to just go open header (it's not loud at all since it's the "whimpiest" 1.5L out there) and throw on a K&N filter since it's just sitting around. I realize that I won't be seeing any gains, but I got the car for the sole purpose of saving gas
.
Btw, would it be good to Seafoam the car and then use Engine Restorer right after??
I can't post anymore for a bit, so I thought that I'd just edit my post. I was just curious, are the BMW bottlecaps made by BBS as well? How much do they go for?!? Someone just offered me 3 wheels (he doesn't have the 4th) for 75$.

When I cracked my B-pipe in half on my old 1.5, it was deafening. It was also extremely illegal.

I had to run open header for a week, it was the loudest thing on earth.. especially at like 4krpm where it's at it's deepest.. it was like extreme bass penetrating my ears, my ears would ring if I kept @ 4krpm for more than 5 seconds lol.. You can try just removing the axleback.. I did that but it was just as loud minus the murdering bass @ 4krpm
The thing is, I don't have a stock muffler and I'm pulling my Trust exhaust to sell it. I might as well post the mods that came with the car...
