Pic request cage side intrusion...
I am looking for good pics of side intrusion for an Integra before i weld mine in so if you have nice ones or have seen nice ones and have a pic or two....
Rene,
PM me your email and I'll send you a bunch of photos I collected while deciding on what to do about my cage in my hatch. It mainly depends on if you want to keep the window, or delete it. Nascar style is the only way to go, IMHO.

Here's another option. It's both SCCA and HC legal. I have tons of pictures listed but go to page 4 for closeup cage pics. Hope it helps

Not required; they are optional.

I was under the impression they were going to be required in '07 (at least that was the word on improvedtouring.com... I could be wrong as I often am)

Rene M,
Only thing I would be concerned with is the bends in the main hoop. They can not exceed a total of 190 degrees and yours looks to. It may just be the pictures, but it's gonna be really close if it doesn't. I have the same type of bends in my main hoop, but made sure they did not exceed 190 degrees.

It looks like you left that huge lateral floor beam in (runs between the "B" pillars). If so, you missed a good weight reduction opportunity.
Also, it looks like you may have used your 7th & 8th cage mounting points for your rear strut tower tube. You might be better served with 7 & 8 used as forward hoop braces to the lower firewall. You can put a lateral brace between the main hoop rearward braces, just above where they hit the rear strut tower without adding extra mounting points.

also,it appears that the hoop and diagonal bar attach to this brace, not the actual chassis.seems to me that'll be an issue?

IIRC, 2 passenger door bars will be required, but they do not have to be nascar

Since they are both attached to the same base plate, doesnt it count as 1 mounting point?

Depends. I've seen it interpreted different ways. Generally speaking, the two tubes should hit the mount plate at the same spot, and be touching each other to be considered one 'point'.
