Default Immobilizer question on Integra

We are doing an auto to manual swap on a 2001 Acura Integra. His 5 speed ecu is from a 2000 Integra manual LS

i know that these years integras have Immobilizers, how do i get around that? Im suspecting i have to take it to the dealer to have them reomve it.

I tried searching but most people said not to do it.
any help is appreciated

Just swap in a obd1 ecu and your set. If you plan on tuning its better to have a obd1 anyways.

Just use an OBD2A ecu.

Yea shouldn't the 96-99 ECU work, and not have the immobilizer thing?

Oh I thought OBD2A was 96-99, not 96-98, and I didn't know it wouldn't work with OBD2B. I guess I shouldn't have posted.
