Default V6 Accord Reliability

I did some searching but couldn't find anything regarding reliability..

There's a 96' Accord for sale in my area it's a V6 and has 111,000K miles. I had heard for some odd reason that the V6 engine doesn't do as well with high mileage. I know nothing about accords - I've owned two civics..

So can anyone tell me if there's anything I should know about the V6 accords, or is there nothing to worry about as long as the regular maintenance items are done?

Need some guidance so any help is appreciated

nothing wrong with the motor, it's the transmission that dies a quick death

Is the tranny a problem with the 4 cyl engines too? Or is that just a V6 thing?

I haven't read too many problems with the 4cyl trannys for the 5th gen. Accords.

I have a '96 Accord EX auto with over 82k, looks like tranny is going to outlast the motor.

I dont think the 5th gen tranny's had any problems. They are the same C27 motors from the earlier Legends and I still see them running around.

Im sure there isnt anything majorly wrong with them. The problem only starts with the 98+models. Ive had a 94 EX 4banger and its built way better than my 98 V6.

V6 trans on 5th gens last a long time but with the V6, they will not go as long as the I4 (they usually make it 250K versus 300k+ for the I4
