I found a tube that is not connected to anything in the top right of the engine bay. There is a container and this pipe comes out of it... I will take pics later.

It is a b18c1 engine. What does the tube connect to?

The second pic is a vacuum diaphragm on your throttle butterfly. The first pic is a tube that's supposed to be connected to an air-intake vacuum source.

 

That's the EVAP purge, the loose vacuum line goes on your throttle body.

 

what is it supposed to do? without connecting it, what are the consequences? thank you

 

emissions hose #7 goes from the charcol canister to the evap purge solenoid thats located on the intake manifold. the car will run perfectly fine with out it but you will not pass smog if they see it hanging.

b18c1? the sensor should be there, jdm motors dont even have these sensors so the hose will need to be capped
