Default Brake lights randomly stopped working

My turn signals front and back, headlights and the top brakelight bar on the upper part of the hatch door all still work. But the regular brake lights have stopped workinmg. Where can i start to begin checking for the problem.

thanks

Check to see if any of the filiments in the bulbs are burnt out. Then start with your connectors. Sometimes a bit of water can get in there and rust away the connections.

Cheers.
