Default Low compression Across the board

I bought a spare b18b from someone for dirt cheap... he said it had low compression right across the board... he said like 40 on each...

now, was he just checking it wrong, or is there somethin i can do .... Rings maybe?

i know what low compression in one cylinder is, but not all 4 evenly

Make sure the engine is at operating temp. Also check the valve clearances. When I first got my b16 i tested it cold, like hasnt ran in weeks and it was like 50. When i ran warm it was 210 across the board!!

Well, If it is apart than you check everything out. Look at the cylinders, look for scrapes or marks and on the pistons!
