I rev it up to 8. I can do it safely b16 head with CTR valve springs, retainers, etc. It had been over heating when i start it up for a while now. It's weird it'll overheat for like 5 minutes and then it'll go back to normal for the rest of the day. Unless i let my car sit for a couple of hours before i drive it again. Any ideas?

So you've been letting it overheat on more than one occasion?

Overheating = warped block or head = blown head gasket.

I think he's talking about when the temp goes beyond regular, not to where the point it reaches the red....

You might have air bubbles in your coolent, try bleeding that first.
