Default JDM DC Header question

I'm getting ready to purchase the DC JDM header, need to know if the factory lower bracket on the GSR will fit or do I need another one (ITR Lower bracket, is there such a thing?) If I do need another one anyone have the Acura part#.

Thanks.

I am pretty sure you will need the JDM ITR bracket that is not available at the Acura Dealership.

Taken from TypeRmsm's site (ips racing)

JDM ITR Lower Header Bracket $35

(For JDM ITR, Mugen, Toda, and other various JDM Headers)

if ur getting the DC version of the JDM 4-1 header, then u don't need the bracket. just install the header and bolt it on. that's pretty much it. i just installed mine about 3 weeks ago.

Yes it will be the DC version JDM. So it bolts on to the GSR lower mount without any modifications?

umm
well if u have a 94-99
u'll need some work at the muffler shop so while ur at it install a hiflow cat and all that....i had to drive open header to the muffler shop (40 miles) haha but itwas worth it...they installed a hiflowcarsound cat (including the price of cat) was 160 + tax. otherwise yes it's bolt on, u dont need hte bracket cuz the DC is so light.

Wait, I want it even though I may not need it. The question is if I want the lower bracket will the stock GSR bracket fit the DC JDM header. I already have the high flow cat etc. covered.

Why would I not want the lower bracket. I want as much support as possible.

So what is the deal. Does anyone know for sure. Has anypne put the JDM DC header on their GSR?

the stock bracket on integras will hold the dc header in place. it is only when u get the jdm header that u will need the extra bracket since the design is different from the jdm and usdm -- as far as header brackets are concerned. if ur still not sure who to believe, just take it to the muffler shop and they should take care of everything.

hth.
