CAr is over heating
94 accord is gettin hot just at an idle i have brand new Fans and they both work... when i press on the gass pedal and bring the Rpms up to 3k and up it goes back down to normal My water level is normal Could it be my thurmostat? and if so how do i check it
the thermostat is easy to check once it's removed, but then, they're cheap enough that you might as well replace it. i would start by taking a good look at your radiator, make sure there are no signs of drips, leaks, anything like that. also, check on your coolant hoses. there are a ton of little ones in the back of the engine, if something is starting to leak, this could contribute. i just replaced the radiator in my teg because it was leaking and overheating. 1800radiator, or radiator.com. cheap and easy. the install isn't hard either. hopefully it's nothing more serious than that.
if it is just overheating at idle ONLY and not when you are on the highway more than likely you're fan isn't coming on. Next time it over heats turn on the A/C and if the temp goes down then your fan isn't coming on and maybe you need to replace your fan relay.

I am having the same problem, refilled the resivouir with water & Ive had no problems since. Although this did happen to me with my f22, & had to replace the thermostat.
If it's like any other honda it's right behind and further down from the distributor where the radiator hose connects (thermostat housing). Get a thermostat with a low opening temperature.

I've always used and had luck with aftermarket ones.

sounds to me like your waterppump isnt circulating water fast enough. the waterpump is driven off a belt from the engine and the faster your engine spins the faster the waterpump spins.
maybe the impeller on the pump has a few broken fins and at low engine speed it isnt circulating water faste nough creating hot spots casuing your car to overheat.
anyone else agree with me?

i think that's unlikely at best. if fins had broken off (how would they break off, first of all?) you'd have bigger problems than cooling issues. i vote for a bad radiator or low coolant level. my suggestion? just drain and replace the coolant, but DO NOT flush. also replace the thermostat and radiator hoses while you're in there.
Here's a link, for troubleshooting the cooling system. When you are refilling the radiator put the heater on full blast, and open the bleeder bolt. Good luck

why do not flush?
why do not flush?
flushes, be it for radiator, transmission, or whatever, can do more harm than good. they're too harsh and while they clean, they can cause damage. your best bet is to just replace the fluid often. coolant, motor oil, transmission fluid, all have detergents built in to keep things clean.
