I wanted to know if anyone has used the exedy stage 2 clutch on there gsr? Its time to get a new clutch, i love the way a act hdss (heavy duty with street and strip disk) grabs, but its real rough on the tranny. I have been using clutch master stage 3 it engages wonderful, but when ur goin through the gears, it doesnt grab as hard. i was looking into http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...QrdZ1 i was wonderin how the enagement is??? i had a act with a sprung 6 puck a while back, and it was to rough for a daily, and it also chattered alot. please let me know what u guys think of that clutch, and if anyone has it how would u say it is.

 

exedy stage 2 clutch is by far one of the best clutchs ive had. you can slip it when you are at a stop light but it also grabs like a bad out of hell

 

cool, but how is the engagement? is it rough, does it chatter, does ur whole car shake when ur getting it off the line. This car is going to be about 220whp daily driven. The only prob i have wit the act is that its a little to rough, especially in traffic.

 

I had the exedy organic clutch and it freaking ROCKED. I'd get it again in a heartbeat.

Oh and it didn't chatter at all.

 

exedy organic 1 for me. so far so good

how much hp were u making? what are u using now?

 

the engagement was almost like a stock clutch. except it does grab sooner like any aftermarket clutch would. it does chatter if you let it out slow.

but that clutch is great for 220whp.

 

Yes exedy stage 2 is the ****...I've played with it a little and it's da ****...right justin?

 

how about u guys that have used action, how would u compare that to exedy stage 1....i was readint that the clutch is good for up 250 hp

I'm running a 3-Puck ACT right now and it kills me. Chatters all over the place and engages way too quick for daily driving.

Exedy stage 1 organic disk, or stage 2 FTW!

 

any feedback compared to action clutches?

 

Running the Exedy 3-puck sprung disc with my 2.0L: 230whp. Drives great. Mated to a 7.5lb Fidanza flywheel.

 

i had one in a buitl ITR motor (put down 220ish whp) and it was a nice clutch. BUt to be honest i don;t think i'd want to drive it everyday in traffic. It was a bit harsh when you NEEDED to slip it out slow.
For a daily driver cltuch the stage one is much better

ya Exedy stage one (organic). We used one in my brother LS/VTEC that put down somthing over 200. Holds up fine

 

Seems like a lot of people run exedy...I heard from a couple people that a stage one had been slipping within 3 months on a stock civic SOHC!!

well that isnt good, i dont want to take apart the tranny in 3 months. Well i wish someone has used the action stage 2 clutch

 

boosted hatch does...well his brother has it exedy stage 2...PM him about it
