Top End Gasket Kit (Honda)
Bottom End Gasket Kit (Honda)
ACL Engine Bearing Kit ( OR OEM if you're baller)
Piston Ring Set (Honda)

I think thats all you need for a stock rebuild

Your not going to know what bearings you need until you take the motor apart. Let your engine rebuilder take apart the motor and have him tell you what is out of spec and needs to be replaced.

If you have the proper measuring tools and know-how to do this then I would recommend it. For the simple build, you can resort to reading the decoding instructions in the Helm Service Manual.

I would recommend the follow items for a complete rebuild:

Upper Gasket Kit
Lower Gasket Kit
Oil Pump
Timing Belt
Timing Belt Tensioner & Spring
Water Pump
Piston Ring Set x 4
Water Passage Pipe O-Rings x 2
Oil Control Orifice on Block
O-Ring for Breather Box
O-Ring on Head (Sits underneath the center Camshaft Holder)
Dowel Pins for Head (just incase it is damaged or lost during disassembly - happens quite often)
Throttle Body Gasket (Not included with Upper Gasket Kit)
Fuel Injector O-rings (If needed)
Honda-Bond
VTEC Solenoid Gasket and O-Ring
O-Rings for Intake and Exhaust Rocker Shaft Orifice
Washers for Block Freeze Plugs
Thermostat & Gasket

i would also go with over sized pistons, .25 over. Get it bored and a fresh hone, fresh rings, and it will be good for another 200k plus.
You may also want to go over you head while it's out. Have it cleaned and install at minimum new valve seals. Once the head is apart you can inspect for other wear (valves and valve guides, lost motion assembles ect..)

You will have to get yours measured properly. Depending on the engine building facility they may or may not resort to plastigauge or use very expensive electronic measuring devices.

Hi Reg,

Just got off the phone with you. I wanted to write a response here so that it may be referenced in the future by other board members. If you have any questions are unsure about anything and you rather ask me personally, please send me a PM.

I will place any part number and it's description in bold form. Your price will be PMed to you or you may access our online catalog for the most recent and accurate prices. I would advise you to place your order online also. Let's begin.

First and foremost lets start with the top of the engine and work our way down and around. (These part numbers reflects a 2001 Acura Integra Type R only.)

1. 06110-P73-A03 GASKET KIT, CYL HD
- This kit encompasses the majority of the seals and gaskets for the top end or head of the engine. They include the Headgasket, Intake Manifold Gasket, Exhaust Manifold Gasket, Camshaft Seals x 2, Valve Cover Grommets x 8, Lower Exhaust Manifold Gasket x 2 (Not necessary if you have a non-OEM exhaust manifold/header), Intake Valve Stem Seals x 8, Exhaust Valve Stem Seals x 8, Spark Plug Tube Seals x 4, Distributor O-Ring, Rocker Shaft Orifice O-Rings x 2, Center Camshaft Tower O-ring, Valve Cover Gasket, and Camshaft Plug (On the distributor side.)

The following items are not included in the Gasket Kit above. You may or may not need these items depending on the condition of the part.

2. 16176-P73-004 GSKT, THROTTLE BODY
-This is the throttle body gasket. I would recommend you change this part if you decide to remove the throttle body from the intake manifold.

3. 16075-P07-000 O-RING (9.8X1.9)
- This is the MAP Sensor O-Ring. You need to have your mechanic inspect this and replace if necessary.

4. 36455-PT3-A01 GASKET, ELECTRONIC AIR CONTROL VALVE
- This is the figure 8 O-Ring that sits between the IAC Valve and the back of the intake manifold. You need to have your mechanic inspect this and replace if necessary.

5. 06111-PR4-030 GASKET KIT, LOWER
- This is the lower end gasket kit. It includes the Oil Pan Gasket, Rear Main Seal, Front Crankshaft Seal (This item is included with the purchase of an Oil Pump), Water Pump Gasket (This item is included with the purchase of a Water Pump), Water Passage/Pipe O-Ring x 2, Oil Pickup Gasket, Oil Cooler Housing O-Ring, Oil Pump O-Ring, and Oil Control Orifice O-Ring.

So far we have covered just the gaskets and O-rings. There are several other small little O-rings that are on sensors and fuel injectors. Those items need to be inspected and replaced if necessary.

6. 19200-P72-013 WATER PUMP
- I recommend the replacement of this item. Not only as a preventive measure, but also to cut down on cost as the amount of labor to tear down and replace the water is pretty high. The engine is disassembled, you might as well replace it while it's out.

7. 19301-P08-316 THERMOSTAT ASSY.
- This is also a recommended item. The thermostat is an often over looked item when rebuilding an engine.

8. 1321X-P72-003 BEARING -, CONN ROD Note: Please check for proper clearance before placing an order.
- For your rod bearings, I recommend the OEM units. You may check for clearance with two method. The proper way to is measure each journal and find the correct bearings for each rod. The second and most popular way with a stock engine is to follow the instructions in the Helm manual and decode the codes stamped on the engine block and crankshaft to find the proper clearance set forth by the factory. If I could, I always measure the clearances and then cross referenced them with the factory codes.

I'll be back. LoL. I'm hungry. Going to grab some food.

If you are under a budget, re-using headbolts on an oem spec n/a build has been done plenty of times without problems.
