I've been running Phearable's ECU for the past week and a half. I've put 2 tanks of gas thru my car (I drive 110 miles a day, 55 miles to and from work). Here's my mods and my assessment.
95 Integra RS
AEM short ram intake
DC 4-2-1 headers
AEM accessory pulleys
AEM cam gears, set to stock
stock timing
2.25 mandrel bent exhaust with hondasport muffler (straight through)
stock cat
NGK wires and plugs
16" wheels
91 Octane
Phearable ECU
I asked Phearable to send me an ECU which will utilize my current mods. After a week and a half, I can honestly say, this ECU kicks butt. Now, I know this is a butt dyno assessment, but hear me out. I will be bringing my car to a dyno very soon, and will have a printout with my mods plus stock ECU, Phearable ECU, and Kenji's ECU. If I have time, I will dyno J-K Tuning's ECU as well.
For people that live in L.A and Ventura, we all know about the really steep mountain pass thats right between Newbury Park and Camarillo. With my stock ECU, going up hill, I usually have to dump the car into 4th gear in order to keep my speed around 70. With the Phearable ECU, I don't have to downshift into 4th anymore. I can keep it in 5th, maintain speed, and actually increase speed with stepping on the gas. With the stock ECU, there's no way I could do that. Even if I were to step on the gas, my speed would decrease.
Overall, this ecu rocks. Idle is dead on at 750-800, very steady, and I still get 30-31 mpg!!!!!! Power is definitely noticeable at all RPM levels. I am thoroughly impressed with this ECU and would recommend it to anyone. For 150, you get not only more hp, but a lot more useable torque, awesome gas mileage, and no worries of a rough idle. Thanks Phearable!!!!
Next up, I will be testing Kenji's and J-K tuning's ECU.

Awesome.... this may be slightly off-topic, but i always thought it was bad to run a chipped ecu unless you tuned it on the dyno with your car. Maybe thats only the case if your running a huge amount of hp.
did you have to send in your ecu for him to chip for 150 or did he use his own ecu to chip. 150 is a good price, how much is a kenji and the j-k one by the way

This is a basemap tuned for my modifications. I'm sure I can extract even more power from the ECU thru dyno tuning, as phearable agrees.

For 150, you get a complete ECU with chip modded. Its a complete plug and play. Takes 5 minutes to swap out your stock ecu, and put in the new ECU. Kenji and JK tuning are both advertisers on HT and have their own websites. Check them out. Both sell a complete ECU as well.
I had my ecu chipped and socketed by him and car personally tuned by John. Hes a great guy and does an awesome job!! His turbo ls-v is for sale on ebay one of these lucky members from HT should check it out and buy it!!! Anyways hes a great tuner!
