Default Is it true...?

I heard somewhere that TODA bases all their products off of the B16b. Is this true? Has anyone else heard this before? Just trying to decide on a header for my B16b and wanted to verifythat information. Now Mugen makes a header for the B16b costs a bit more...think its worth it? Or should i just say screw it and go like smsp or something along those lines? Any good info is appreciated! Im really interested in having the TODA myth answered.

I have also heard this, and have yet to see the Toda header be beaten on a dyno by any other header on a B16b. I'm in pretty steady contact with Dave at SMSP, I had a pretty good talk with him a few weeks ago over the phone and we decided to stick with the Toda header. However, when I sleeve the gsr block I have in the garage, it's a different story to SMS!

Which Toda header are you guys refering to?

I am assuming that the DC2-960 and the DC2-980 are the same because of the 45mm to 50mm tapered to 60mm, but the EK9-000 is slightly smaller in OD for the 2 part in 4-2-1. I always hear on this forum about the "Toda header" and would like to know which one that people refer to. Thanks

IN the US we only have the one header to pick from...It appears you have a better selection.

I believe the popular sanctioned racing over there is class limited to 1.6 liters.

I guess that would make sence as to why they would base their designs off of the 16b its the best one out there. So would this stand to reason then that we would get the same product?

Thanks for the link/info. I am assuming from the O.D. on the header in the link you gave (available in the US), it is listed on Toda Japan's site as the one for the Integra R (DC2/DB8) so it is based for the 1800. The B16b header (Civic R/EK9) on the Japanese site is 45mm to 48mm to 60mm.
