Default main caps and rocker arm question

straight to the point question is. can you use the main caps and rocker arms from another motor but is the same model and engine codeEX: b18 to b18

i was told that if i used main caps from a different motor my cams shaft will seize. is there any true behind that. i was also told i could if i got it line bored.

and finally is there any other problems i have wory about if i do this.

You heard right about the cam caps (not main caps). They are matched to the head from the factory. You can try to get them line bored but your machine shop better know what they're doing as it is hard to find specs for their size. They can always go off measuring the cams and adding the necessary oil clearance. Real risky business, IMO.

Rocker arms are ok of they're in good condition. I would recommend a short break in period of 1500 rpm for 10-15 minutes after installation. Don't forget the assembly lube.
