what exactly . . .
the only differences I can see are the brakes at this point, but I am about to try and slip a 1.5 engine from an hf into a dx, I want to change the brakes over, and a bunch of other stuff too, does this mean i need to swap harness as well? the engine in the HF looks just like my engine in the dx so far, except it has had alot of work done to it, pistons cam, and such, i have to run high grade fuel in it for it to run right, with 10:1 compression. and I want all these goodies in my dx. and my hf has disk all the way around. it was probably upgraded , the guy that did all the work lived backeast somewhere, and alt has been done to the car.
DX are drums in the rear and DX in the front. The DX front knuckles are better then the HF, but then the HF tranny becomes useless with the DX driveshafts, unless you frankenstein a driveshaft. The HF engine is a 60hp monster, the DX is a 92hp monster. Both suck. MPFI in the HF, DPFI in the DX, HF is lighter.
10:1 comp does not require high octane fuel. 10:1 comp in a HF is dumb, cause it will still only make like....80hp.

1988 dx exhaust port #2 has oil!! so its definately the rings haha, so now i need to swap the heads between the 88 and 89 dx's D15B2 or put the race engine out of the hf D16A6 into the car lol, but I am thinking it wont just bolt right up lol
I just saw some info that would lead me to believe that the d16a6 is an si engine, does this apply to other models or just the si? my light tag on the back of the car says hf, is there a different location like in the vin number that defines it?

I ave the passenger side of the drivetrain assembly D.C'd and out of the way, now for the driver side, . . . I am checking back regularly while doing this so any help is useful. if my 88 engine has any piston issues i will be trying to put an hf engine in the car, in which case I will need guidance possibly.I have not yet done crx stuff like this.

the hf has the disk everywhere, and i have both cars complete, so I should be able to switchout the shafts too right? and the knuckles if i cant use the dx ones with hf stuff, and this thing has more than 80 hp already, headers, intake, pistons, cam, all in all its pretty beefed up.I can spin posi for some time, on fresh shoes, and it hauls @$$
