Default Some questions on brake pad change

1.) As a substitute for Molykote, I should use brake disc lubricant, right?

2.) How much Molykote/lubricant should I use on each side of the shim? Thin layer, thick layer?

3.) Just Molykote/lubricant on the shims on both sides, no where else on the pads, or retainers in the calipers?

4.) Any other tips for installing new pads (these are OEM pads) ?

Default Re: Some questions on brake pad change (onyx00)

1) j00 can, but I use anti-seize

2) very thin layer between the shim and backing plate. if j00 put thick layer on, it'll 00ze out and make a mess

3) double check everything once you're done
