Does the d16z6 have an oil control jet like shown in the pic of a d16a6? I removed my head on my z6 cause I was changing my headgasket and did not see one on my block or are they only on the a6 motors. Thanks.....

It may have something to do with the years...there is a jet there per-se...well not a control jet like in your picture, but the oil nipple is there along w/ the hole, but there's not a jet & o-ring

btw, what book is that?

I Think that's the way it goes anyways...I'm not sue if the a6 is VTEC or not, I'm goign to take the vast assumption that it's NOT in which case the plug WILL be there because it's the same block, but w/ VTEC there isn't a plug

Yeah, they're also on some other engines that share the same engine w/ a VTEC engine but aren't VTEC engines themselves such as that LX motor (D15b7 I believe?) That uses the same block for the VTEC version of it (which I think is the JDM D15B?) Whichever, it uses the same block, so they're all produced w/ plugs, and the plugs are removed on the VTEC models & kept in on the non-VTEC models.

z6 has it for sure, cuz i built my z6.

 

It has the "outlet" for it - it doesn't have a plug if that's what you're saying....
