just wondering if you guys knew what this could be. it's like the smell of burning metal or gas coming from the back of my car. when i open my trunk the smell is really strong. it goes and comes. but the smell only comes when i'm driving at random times. i know it's coming from the back of my car too. i have TEIN HA with upper pillow ball mounts and a 5zigen fireball axleback. i took it to the dealer and they said nothing is wrong. but the smell is still there. help anyone?

 

How new is your zigen exhst??? New exhaust puts out a buring metal smell the first month or so...it smelled my car up.

 

That can be it, or also check when you intalled your new muffler, it is too close to part of the body and is burning some paint or sealer, or maybe you removed some heat shield or so....

 

the 5zigen has been on for over a year so that isn't it. the dealer thought it was because the muffler was hitting the bumper so that's what caused the smell, that wasn't it either cause the bumper is fine, no burns. ahhh it's pissing me off this smell. bah please help!
