so i bought an LS w/ a b16...
so i bought an LS w/ a jdm b16 and it was driving fine until i lauched the car the other day... then i noticed a CEL and i pulled over and shut it down. cranked it back up no cel and started driving home then i noticed... NO VTEC!!! vtec wont engage anymore..
but it drives fine, i dont get what the hell happened
checked the CEL codes and this is what i got..
3 MAP - manifold absolute pressure sensor
20 Electrical load detector
22 VTEC pressure valve
41 Primary oxygen sensor heater
can i please get everybody opinion on this. i've read up on it and heard it could be oil pressure, might need to change my oil or oil pump or even recheck the wiring for my vtec. might even have to open up the head and clean everything up or replace my seals. i dont know.. has anyone came across this? i mean the vtec used to work so it cant be the wiring right?

Make sure your green plug to the right of the distributor is pluged in. if it is then check il and stuff. does the car have a VAFC in it? or maybe it had one and when they uninstalled it the didnt reattach the oil pressure switch for Vtec.

anyways i checked the wiring, everything seems fine. i noticed that on the green clip by the dizzy the copper on the wires were coming out and touching each other. that could be a problem also
not that hard just a speedy get away, i came down to this. i think the vtec solenoid is out. its okay, i'll see wussup..putting a gsr in it soon

even with a launch like that...your motor must be sensitive, did it throw any codes prior to your launch?..a swap prolly id say between 3-4g's...is it w or w/o axles, shift linkage, ecu, mounts..etc? or jus the swap ?
