Default Quick SI/CTR grille question...

Is the mesh in the 99-00 civic SI and CTR grille any different? Some pictures I see the mesh is a metal color, and some it is black. What is the correct color of the mesh for both the SI and CTR grille piece? Thanks in advance

Black. Not Metal.
and... They're pretty much the same, I think the SI has a stock "H" sign in the middle of it. Don't quote me on that.

I'm pretty sure the OEM 99-00 Si and OEM 99-00 CTR are the same. Except for the Si has the H, but you can take that off.

Yeah, I can't tell the difference. What are the grille pieces I am seeing with the metal mesh in them?

The SI has an "H" in the middle of it? I never looked too closely, but I've never noticed an "H"...

I just found that same picture on google, haha. Anyways, why is it that I hardly ever see the "H"? Did all SI grilles come with the Honda emblem in the middle? I'm asking because I see some college girls/adults (no pun intended, just a simple example) driving SI's without the emblem...my guess would be that they wouldnt take the time to remove it, could be wrong though.

I got it from autotrader lol.

But idk maybe they bought it like that? Every Si I've seen that's not "kid" driven has the H still on, but I rarley seen anyone on here that still has it.

There's should be a few that still have there's on, check the "EM1 Crew" thread.

Yeah, maybe I just never noticed it. So the metal grille piece is "custom" I'm guessing?

Thanks for all the help, I appreciate it.

When the mesh is metal, it's a knock off.

Well, basically, the H can easily be taken off.
and the metal mesh thing..
was probably custom made. A lot of people do it with their EX version. Because the mesh part can be taken apart also.

I thought you could only take it off/mod it on the 96-98 ones?
