my gsr went to crap. rebuild time
ok, the gsr i just swaappped in my da went to crap, cylinder 2 has 0 compression. all otehrs are bout 200 +... ok so i am going to rebuild bottom end with just some rings/bearings/bolts. tope end i want to do valves/springs/retainers... do i need to replace lifters and how do i check if they are bad. i obviously need to do head gasket.... net hing else while im down tehre, i jsut want it to run like new. do i have to get teh surfaces planed? its a 2001 gsr motor so im not sure if i have to get the surfaces planed./... ne others. thx lemme know. and a good place to get them for cheap would be nice too. tahnks!
before you go off tearing off your motor do a valve adjustment some how the valve are open a little when they are suppost to be close causing them to show up as zero compression usually if a motor go back the cylinder would at least show 50psi.
so try a valve adjustment first? ok no prob i will when i get home, it shows now psi and the cylinder doesnt fire at all. will do. thanks for the tip
