will the o2 sensor throw a code
i have a 96 civic ex with the d16y8 and i have a problem is bogging. no codes. ive searched and seen that o2 sensors can do that. if my o2 sensor was no good wouldnt it throw a code???

What he said, something happened with my o2 and it was saying the system was to lean. I forgot the code but I got a used o2 put it in and I was good.

they will once their completey shot and not sending a signal, they can, however be messed up and sending a faulty signal. this will not give you a code or a CEL
