Brand new exedy (oem) clutch. Symptoms of slipping
Wife has a '94 Accord EX 2.2 5 speed. I witnessed for myself what seemed to be clutch slip. It would rev up while driving without accelerating. Seemed to happen when the engine was hot. After cooling down, it would drive again.
I dropped the trans and put in a brand new oem clutch and flywheel. After driving around in the texas heat today, it started doing it again! The only other logical explination I can come up with is somehow the clutch is not fully engaging. I did a rebuild on the master/slave cylinders a few months ago. The lines are fully blead and don't seem to be leaking.
Has anyone experienced this before? Any ideas?

Did you install a new flywheel or a resurfaced one? Did you replace the t/o bearing with a new one. Was there any grease or oil on the clutch cover or disc?
Did you use a Daikin/Exedy new cover and disc? Many internet suppliers will say its a OEM disc and cover and only supply the oem cover or just the disc to sell it cheaper.

It's a brand new Exedy clutch kit (part number 08014) which includes pressure plate, disc and TO bearing. It's supposed to be the OEM clutch. It looked very high quality and was made in japan so I figured it was good ****.
The flywheel is a brand new oem unit from the honda dealership. All surfaces were cleaned prior to install, which I performed myself. I've done numerous clutch installs, however, this is my first honda. It's also my first hydraulic clutch system.
