i just intalled a new crankshaft and meanwhile the motor hasnt been started for about 3-4 weeks, now that everything is back together when i start the car it idels fine, has good oil pressure, good fuel pressure but there is a loud clanking noise comming from the valvetrain what seems like the rockers but im not sure. the timing is right and the head is getting plenty of oil but i have no clue what a solution would be?????????

 

Has the head been apart?
Valves adjusted correctly?

 

i didnt touch the top end, it sounds like the rockers or valves, but after inspecting it some more it feels like the bottom of the block knocking so im going to pull the pan and check the torque on all the bolts and nuts and see if and thing is getting hit or grinded, its wierd because it idles excellent, and perfect oil pressure . hope it will be an easy fix but probably wont be.
