im an idiot help please

im changing my plug wires in my 96 ls and i pulled em all out before looking at the order on the distributer, i know im an idiot, can someone just help me out please.

ummmmmm.... im pretty sure i know.
looking at your engine your cylinders are like this
4321
and on your dizzy looking at it from the side of your car. it goes like this

#1 plug is on the driver's side of the car.

exactly what i said. Looking down at your engine from the front of your car the order is
4321
4 being the right next to your distributor. and your dizzy should go like this

thats fine. But i thought it would have been self explanitory when i said when looking at the engine it looks like this. But i guess not to some people.
