CAN ANYBODY HELP ME?!!!
I have a 1993 Acura Integra LS with an automatic transmission. About a month ago I was driving in the 100 degree heat and about 40 miles into my trip the transmission slipped into a lower gear. I pulled off the highway, and the car was acting as if it was low in tranny fluid. I went to the auto parts store and pulled the dip stick out and a poof of smoke came out of the tranny. I checked the fluid and it looked a little low. So I put some fluid in and that seemed to solve the problem. As soon as I got to my destination(about 10 miles more down the road) the car started doing the same thing, acting like it was low on tranny fluid. I put some more in and let the car sit for about an hour, and drove back home. About 50 miles back home the same thing happened. The tranny slipped into a lower gear. So I pulled off the highway, put more fluid in and it got me home. I went to Jiffy Lube and got a tranny flush. So far, so good, even though I haven't taken it out for a long drive. Now sometimes it won't start, and the S3 light starts flashing. I have to take the key out of the ignition and wait a little before something resets then it will start. Can this be related? [/B]
Sounds like you have a transmission code stored, thus the flashing S3 light. See if you can get the code and go from there. It definitely sounds like your tranny's having some issues.
