Default would you buy? 85 crx

alright so im on the search for an 84-87 crx, i found a red one, hf, louvers, stock looking wing, interior looks like good condition, exterior looks pretty clean, other than it looks like it was painted and has runs inthe paint, its red, with the lower moldings grey with a red stripe on molding, and a pin stripe below windows, it has 136,000 miles, i think it has a bra, 5 speed trany, was told older woman baught it for boyfriend and had got all kinds of engine work done to make it mint, timing belt changed and what not, was told she put over 1000$ of work into the car, and her boyfriend died before she could give it to him. the asking price is 2,500. is that a good price? would you buy it for that?

2500 is a ridiculous ripoff unless it's insanely mint.

i wouldnt say its "insainly" mint, but after a paint job it would be, it doesnt need any work, i think the interior is mint. and i would probably keep it mostly stock, and gerage kept. want the car but cant afford insurance on 2 cars. i was thinking i could probably talk them down to at least 1,8

c'mon Everyone you have to remember finding a 1st gen Rex-that's not beat to hell is going to cost a little bit of money. The mileage is low and he says its clean,so it could demand the price.

i already have a 91, no reason to have 2 (no affence to those who have 2+), i just love the old school almost rally look of the 85-87's. and if i ever were to do a motor swap there so light.

Just keep a look out.
I am sure you can find one for way cheaper than that....that is to much for a car that old.
No matter what they say they "have" done to the car, you will still have to put money into it.
And it would have a very low resale value.

not worth 2500 my man. I wouldn't go over 1200 and that's if it's got new paint and rims..... I used to have 87 Si with LS swap and it ran 14.0 on a bone stock LS motor with like 160k on it. I can't imagine how fast it would be with a CRVtec in it running OBD1 on a P73 ECU..... phew!

For 2500$ you will end up spending more just buying the car then paying that little bit more for gas.

yeah 2500 is too steep, half that cost or less, or no sale in my opinion, but hey, its your money
