valve cover painting?

Default valve cover painting?

hmmm valve cover paint is flaking off. should i repaint tongiht (to stock) since i dont have class untill 1:30pm tomorrow?

Just take off the old krap, sand it down with fine grit sandpaper....I think that looks wwaayy better.

Use aircraft stripper, available at most major auto parts. This will get all of the paint/residue off. A few companies actually sell the "crinkle" paint for valve covers to really get that OEM look back.

you guys rinse off cover after using aircraft remover? how you get rid of excess crap. also will new pant adhere properly if its not rinced off?

its paint remover man do u think paint will adhere... do u read directions when using products for the first time??? remove ur old paint by following directions on can or the aircraft remover.....then clean surface and let dry good.... sand it with a scuff pad that should do it and then clean with a degreaser such as simple green works very good let dry and then paint it following the directions on the can of paint

i painted mine today gray.. but for some reason it turned baby blue.. go figure

how did you paint and leave the honda emblem and writing silver did you mask it off or what??

is that a crank case breather filter?
there is a reason why aem puts that little post off the intake pipe..........

paint it then sand it off
yep or take a q-tip w/ vasolene on it, paint the **** you dont want painted. paint the rest. wait till dry, wipe off areas w/ vasoleene on it. presto.
