Yep anything over 6500 is pretty much pointless in a B2, even with MPFI.

Just swap the engine and do a mpfi conversion;

Wrong, it is worth it IMO. Its not a huge difference but you feel a difference in acceleration espcially at higher rpms and at freeway speeds.

its worth it if you can find all the parts for cheap. i noticed a pretty good difference. and it sounds better. if you dont have a loud muffler and youv got a ram air intake, your intake will be louder then your exuast. plus if you want to swap engines in your car later on youv already got the mpfi conversion and will be easier to swap.

I think it's 6400rpm on stock ECU. 7000rpm on PM6.
Sometimes my ecy lets me go to 7200, sometimes it's 6600rpm...it's fucked.

yea since i see some good deals on the parts for the conversion i kinda wanna do this to my d15b2 since its my daily drive. plus i think something that would give me about 10hp? is worth it if its not too much.i was either thinking of either just getting a d16a6 or just do the conversion to mpfi on the b2 and get some bolt ons for the a6. for you guys with those engines. you think i should just get the a6? its just a daily driver anyway
6200 the power band dies off by then but the only good taking that high has is helping hold the band for next gear, if you want to call the part where you can ALMOST merge a powerband lol.
my ls1 goes higher then Ds I feel soo cool

d15bs will turn 9500 all day. if it feels like its starting to shake and rattle at 6500 just keep your foot in it. no matter what, keep your foot in it. my friend's cousins stepbrothers roomates uncles godsons twice removed did it. on pump gas
if that doesnt work get going about 80 mph in 5th and slip the tranny into second and let the clutch out.
dont mind that plume of smoke in your rearview or sudden loss of (all) power. keep your foot on the floor.

mpfi converion is a start... swap in the next step...
and yes it does make a difference wid power gain... not a whole lot... but worth the money... like i said its a start before swap another d-series engine or b-series engine...
