starter spins but no turn.
okm i recently did a motor swap. but it was the same motor. and everything was running fine and dandy. and then yesterday i shift into 2nd and the thing just starts dying. i try to hit the gas and it just slows down even faster. we tried starting it but that didnt work. we tried jumping it. still no work. my alt, belt is pretty freid but its still on and spinning. but the starter was not engaging it just spun around. so i went and got a new starter and still the same problem. every now and then it seems like it starts a crank, but then immediatly stops. and smoke comes out the throttle body area. i kan smell fuel. and the plugs are brand new. and the wires are good and everything the firing order is good. its a 94 civic ex. 1.6 vtec. d16a block with a z6 head. any help would be appreciated.
check your compression, check your timing belt for timing and if its damged,
also take out your starter and check the teeth on your flywheel as sometimes the flywheels are in 2 peices and the tooth section could have come of the flywheel stoping the engine from spining over.
good luck
