Default exhaust manifold gasket/flange size?

Im working on my custom header with my friend, and I just wanna know if the exhaust manifold gasket and the OEM flange are the same size and shape? or the port sizes of the manifold and the gasket differ?

Can I use a gasket as a flange model on a CNC machine?

thax in advance

if i remember correctly, the gasket will only tell you the spacing for the different cylinders. although the gasket roughly follows the shape of hte manifold flange, the flange is larger, covering up the entire gasket and then some.

Only the space and size of the "ports" im looking for, and therefore Im asking if i can rely on the flange size when making a custom header.

I found a picture of a pontiac:

thats what Im "afraid" of
