gsr into eg hatch

gsr into eg hatch
i just put a gsr into an eg hatch but everytime i connect the battery terminals it sparks and eats away at the battery ......what could my problem be??
also it doesnt give the car n e power

to the op, you probably have a short and that is why it's sparking. alittle spark is normal, but a huge spark or smoke is not.
